Our aim is always to highlight best practice and produce quality films that advance and improve communication within our society.

To achieve this, Dawson Films aims:
to offer participants informed choices and full consultation in the work we do.
to respect the rights and confidences of all those involved.
to work towards our commitment to equal opportunities within the organisation.
All participants in a Dawson Films production:
will be told the purpose of the film and where it is likely to be used.
may ask for audio recording to be ceased at any time during the course of filming.
may ask for visual recording to be ceased at any time during filming.
may ask for the same during research interviews.
have the right to view and request changes of all filmed and recorded material before the final copies are produced.
have the right to view all footage that involves them, whether this will be used in the final film or not.
have the right to read all transcribed material that involves themselves.
may contact Dawson Films at any time with any complaints if they feel that any of the above have not been adhered to.
